Features Ettore Caserta
My name is Ettore Caserta, I was born in Perugia on June 22, 1961, I live in Rome and over time I have developed my natural talent for drawing and which I now manage full-time. I have always "scribbled" on various supports with the hope of seeing something which can satisfy my eyes and those of non-experts, but with little conviction on my part. I used pastels and pencils taken a little here and there, without considering the hardness of the graphite and without having the knowledge and possession of all the necessary tools, those that make the difference to be clear, which would have led me to understand how to improve and see where I was wrong, also comparing myself with some "monsters" of the web.
I stopped at the newsstands to see if I could buy paper material that could give me the opportunity to improve and understand some secrets that all artists have and are part of their personal baggage.
One day I happened to visit the famous exhibition of the 100 painters in Via Margutta, stopping at some stands with works made with an instrument called an airbrush, and from there a world opened up to me.
In September 2012 I attended various courses to improve the approach of the instrument by getting carried away by doing exercises after exercises to have absolute mastery.
I met various airbrush artists, including foreign ones, to whom I asked for advice if I found myself in situations that were unmanageable for me.
Little by little, with great patience, I participated in various contests thanks to my Maestro Frans who gave me the opportunity to combine my two passions, airbrushing and motorcycles in the Kermesse at the "Motoday" Rome Fair.
Over time, they invited me to participate to some Challenges on Facebook, Instagram and from there I realized that my drawings were beginning to interest more and more people.
I posted as many works as possible paying attention to taking care of the details, then always looking on social networks I focused on Marissa Osterlee Dutch, who carried out courses of Hyper-realistic portrait and had recently moved to Spain.
I wasted no time I took the plane and flew to Javea where Marissa had her studio.
And from there I entered a still different world, but not because it wasnt the same as the courses taken previously, at all, but I certainly faced yet another course with a wealth of superior experience which made me understand the reason for so many of my doubts..
.My journey up to here has made me stronger and with broader shoulders, but there is always something to learn and improve in life, a fact is that the bar, in all my work, I will raise more and more to improve myself and treasure my mistakes to create certainties that will lead me to coveted goals.
However, in art they taught me that nothing is certain and that in addition to individual skills, a pinch of luck does not hurt.   ;
